George Jones redecorate the Queens house

As the full time decorators on site we were asked to redecorate the Queens House, a magnificent Tudor building within the Tower of London. As one of the best known buildings in the country, the materials had to as close as possible to the original, and needless to say are very different to the paints used today!
Dulux were asked to manufacture a product especially for the project and we had special training to ensure they were applied exactly as the Elizabethan craftsmen would have done.
The area had to be cordoned off whilst we redecorated the property from a Mobile Elevated Work Platform, but this meant we had to get special dispensation to move the sentry box and alter the route taken by the ceremonial guard whilst the work was ongoing!
